Aromatic, pungent and spicy, ginger is among the healthiest and most
delicious spices on the planet. It has a high nutritional value and it
is used for its both cooking and medicinal properties. Ginger contains
nutrients that are essential for optimal function of all systems.
Only 6 grams ginger has 1.07 g carbohydrates, 0.05 g fat, 0.12 g dietary
fiber, and0.11 g protein. It is packed with water-soluble vitamins
including vitamin B1, B2, B3, B6, B12, biotine and folate, and
fat-soluble vitamins like vitamin A, lutein, alpha-carotene, lycopene,
and beta-carotene as well as minerals like potassium, phosphorus,
manganese, magnesium, iron, copper, and calcium.
This super-healthy spice has potent anti-ulcer, anti-inflammatory,
antioxidant, and detoxifying properties, and it is widely used in detox
baths and cleansing programs. This is because it is abundant with shoga
and gingerol, both of which have anti-inflammatory and anti-spasmodic
effects on the gastrointestinal tract. Many studies proved that they are
even more effective than Dramamine, a drug used to treat motion
sickness. Ginger also has the ability to reduce other symptoms related
to motion sickness including vomiting, dizziness, nausea, and cold
sweating.
Do not forget to mention that many studies also showed that ginger’s
powerful anti-inflammatory properties help relieve rheumatoid arthritis
or osteoarthritis symptoms, helping the patient get relief from both
pain and swelling. It was also found that ginger can prevent cancer,
especially colorectal cancer.
So, today we have a recipe for full-body detoxification that will remove
